May The Fourth Be With You

May the Fourth Be With You! May 4th. National Lisp Awareness Day.

Oh sure, today you’re thinking of all the grandeur that is Star Wars. But have you thought about young children who have recently lost front teeth. They suffer  with “The Force” every single day. Today is the only day they get a little reprieve. Let’s make today National Lisp Awareness Day. Go out and hug a young person! …unless you don’t know them… that would just be awkward.

And while we’re on the subject, what cruel sadist put the letter s in the word lisp? Great, now everyone afflicted with the condition gets to mispronounce it as well. It’s cruel I say. I think I’ll circulate a petition to change the spelling to ‘lithp’. Who’s with me?
